As a fast growing company, we are looking for a Life Sciences BD Partnership Lead to grow the impact of our product with additional life sciences customers & data ecosystem partners, including representing our solution in collaboration with our technical team, managing complex customer relationships, and running agreements end-to-end from prospecting to deal closure. This person would join an experienced, collaborative team of highly technical data scientists and software engineers looking to help customers save countless hours and resources cleaning messy healthcare data.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the creation and execution of business development plans with new biopharma and data ecosystem partners

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across diverse stakeholder groups, developing a deep understanding of your customer’s organization structure and objectives 

  • Prospect new customers through various mechanisms, including conferences 

  • Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to deal closure, including negotiation with customers to drive sales bookings 

  • Collaborate closely with internal technical teams and Cornerstone leadership to successfully represent a technical solution to customers in sales calls and proposals 

  • Accurately represent deal status in internal pipeline reviews and other commercial discussions, including likelihood, close date, and contract value

  • Work hand-in-hand after deal signing with account & delivery teams to coordinate, represent, and communicate Cornerstone’s value proposition within a customer account to drive long-term growth

  • Lead efforts to promote adoption of Cornerstone’s solutions within the life sciences industry, including assisting with marketing material development, conference participation, etc. 

  • Gather feedback from customers on pricing, market challenges, and competitive landscape to inform Cornerstone’s go-to-market strategy

  • Contribute to product marketing efforts & thought leadership to advance our position in market

What You Have

  • Extensive experience with the life sciences industry with a track record of commercial success spanning business development to informing project delivery, ideally within the real-world data / clinical data technology ecosystem

  • Experience selling complex solutions and driving significant revenue growth across diverse stakeholder groups, such as research & development, medical affairs, HEOR, RWE/D, medical informatics, IT, AI/ML experts, healthcare technology vendors, etc.

  • Deep understanding of how the life sciences industry consumes and values healthcare data, as well as growing trends that can inform future go-to-market strategies

  • Deep understanding of how the life sciences industry evaluates and implements AI-based technologies

  • Highly consultative with excellent communication skills and experience working well with cross-functional internal groups

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to succeed in highly complex, ambiguous, and dynamic environments

  • A network of relevant industry contacts at biopharma and data ecosystem organizations

  • Self-motivated and self-starter who works efficiently, independently and is well organized

  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time for conferences, building customer relationships, and internal team gatherings

  • Excellent quantitative skills, including market sizing, forecasting, and other analysis tasks (nice to have)
